HALO Missions will work with Teen Missions International this upcoming September to provide a mission to Ndola, Zambia. Together the volunteers anticipate providing enhanced medical care for at least 500 orphans and will make a donation for the children to attend school. There are at least 13 million orphans in Sub-Saharan Africa alone, and many of these children live without adult supervision, are in need of health care and medical attention, and cannot attend school because they cannot afford the necessary uniforms and supplies.

Upon arrival in Zambia, HALO Missions will be met by representatives from Teen Missions, which has several bases there. Medicines will be purchased with donations received and the mission will travel to remote villages to provide treatment to sick children. “These children need antibiotics, anti-malarials, eye drops, and other life saving medicines and treatments. We can’t save them all but we are going to save as many children as we can,” said Dr. Bopp.

Doctors and nurses interested in signing up for the upcoming or future missions, and individuals wishing to contribute or volunteer should click on the get involved links from the home page.
